Rape victim kicked off team [PHOTO\VIDEO], A former UConn female hockey player has joined a federal civil rights lawsuit that alleges the school mishandled allegations of sexual assaults on campus.
The female
said that she was kicked off the team after reporting that she was raped
by a male hockey player in August 2011.
UConn
would eventually pay her medical bills and refund her tuition after she
met with school officials.
In a related incident, Rachel
Bradshaw-Bean claimed she had been raped in the band room of her high
school in Texas and school officials sprang into action—and kicked her
out of school. Go here to read more and see the photo and video.
