Peterson, a senior at Sheffield West Fork High, was posing for photographs with teammates in the locker room before a game when she slipped and smacked her face on a bench. She would end up being rushed to the hospital, where doctors reportedly required 100 stitches and three metal plates to repair the gash and facial fractures.
