Puppy rescued from recycling center [PHOTO\VIDEO], A puppy named "Gem" rescued from a recycling center was recovering at
a San Francisco animal center Monday, two days after the micro
10-month-old pup was spotted on a recycling conveyor belt -- minutes
from death.
San Francisco Animal Care and Control is
investigating how she wound up in the trash. The Poodle mix was
suffering from what appeared to be animal bites around her neck.
She was also suffering from lameness in her hind legs and had discharge in her eyes and ears.
