44 tons marijuana seized Tijuana [PHOTO\VIDEO], Mexican authorities seized 44 tons of marijuana in Tijuana, the attorney general's office announced Saturday. The drugs were found in the Granjas Familiares del Matamoros neighborhood.
Mexican military and Tijuana police conducted the raid Thursday. There were no arrests.
Tijuana is known for huge marijuana seizures. In 2010, Mexico
authorities said a shootout led to the search of a Tijuana industrial
warehouse where they discovered 125 tons of marijuana.
Officials
said the approximately 10,000 packages of pot found hidden in six cargo
containers constituted one of the largest drug busts in recent Mexican
