Australian Joan of Shark

Australian Joan of Shark [PHOTO\VIDEO],  A 16-foot-long Australian great white shark closed beaches in Albany, West Australia recently, where public debate is still raging over the state's shark-culling policies.


Researchers think "Joan of Shark," as the locals have named her, swam close to shore in search of a distressed whale calf. In a widely distributed photo, scientists attached an electronic tag to track her movements.

The 16-foot-long monster female carnivore weighs approximately 1.6 tons and is the largest of its kind. Go here for more including photo and video.

Man charged in Heartbleed attack

Man charged in Heartbleed attack [PHOTO\VIDEO], Canadian police have arrested 19-year-old Stephen Solis-Reyes and charged him in connection with exploiting the "Heartbleed" bug to steal taxpayer data from a government website, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) said on Wednesday.

 The Heartbleed bug in OpenSSL means that any website with HTTPS encryption is vulnerable to attack. The bug was simultaneously discovered by Neel Mehta of Google Security and a team of security engineers at Codenomicon. Go here for more info and the photo & video.

Missing SD girls 1971

Missing SD girls 1971 [PHOTO\VIDEO], The car found upside down in a SD creek in September was the one driven by missing teenage girls when they vanished in 1971, police said.

A passerby saw the 1960 Studebaker. Investigators say it belonged to Sherri Miller's grandfather.
 State and local officials held a news conference Tuesday afternoon confirming that the '60 Studebaker included the remains of Cheryl Miller and Pamella Jackson, both 17-year-olds who attended Vermillion High School. Go here for more including photo and video.

Most expensive home sells [PHOTOS], The most expensive home sells this week. A 12-bedroom colossus in Connecticut priced at $190 million, making it the most expensive home, has sold.  

The home, known as Copper Beech Farm, is a 13,519-square-foot Victorian masterpiece built in 1898, on 50.5 acres. It has nine bathrooms, 10 fireplaces, one elevator and a private beach. Go here for more including photos of the home and the most expensive home in the world.

Poster Kim Jong Un Hair [PHOTO], North Korean embassy officials paid a visit to a London hair salon after the business put up a poster mocking the hair of leader Kim Jong Un and offering discount haircuts.

Heiress home $14 M

Heiress home $14 M [PHOTOS], The sprawling, Connecticut estate of heiress Huguette Clark has finally been sold after almost a decade on the market.
